Today on Haight Street I passed (twice, and things were the same each time) a woman who did not appear too bizarre, yet fit in nicely with the gutter punk/hippie crowd. She had a dog that she was continuously yelling at, ordering it to "Transform! Come on, people are watching! Transform!"
The dog never transformed, much to my disappointment.

Way Cool.
In interesting news, the leader of the San Francisco group of Hell's
Angels was murdered on September 2 in the Mission District here in San
Francisco. Mark 'Papa' Guardado (Papa Frisco) was the president of the San
Francisco group, known as 'Frisco' and was apparently a big shot all across
the country. His funeral was this morning, and there have been 'Guardian
Angels' (as well as extra police) all over the Mission District ever since
his murder. Today I was lucky enough to witness the funeral procession as it
passed through the city (the funeral was in Daly City). There were literally
thousands of bikers in this procession. I've seen some news reports saying
that 2,000 people (mostly bikers) at his funeral. The funeral procession was
(according to the news) one of the longest motorcycle trains ever, and was
definitely the noisiest thing passing through the city today. It went on for
several minutes, and was so loud that all conversation stopped, and was
practically impossible. I knew nothing about any of this until a few days
ago, when I saw a blurb in the paper about his death, and how the group was
not going to release the procession route to the police. There were
absolutely no police escorts for this procession, and the only vehicles on
four wheels were the hearse, and one limo directly behind the hearse. This
was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and I am VERY glad that I was
there to experience it, even though we weren't planning on it. We were
trying to have a lunch meeting, and just happened to be on the procession
route in an open air café.

Well...
I'm mainly starting this blog to record the funny things I hear on the street while living in San Francisco. But it will probably end up being more than that. I'll need to catch up a bit to remember the things I've heard in the last few weeks, but today I heard an older woman (80 or so) telling a story, but the only part I caught was: "And I killed all the pigs, and felt nothing". You hear some odd things when the Goodwill store on Haight street has a $2 sale. Last week I heard a woman exiting an apartment talking to someone still inside saying "You're like an ecstasy exorcist!"
I'll go spend more time on Public Transportation. You always get more than you bargained for.
